getting that title is NOT playing the game. you sit in town doing nothing but clicking your mouse button. f that. there is no way that you can call zoning out watching tv except for the one time a minute as playing the game

It's like two people getting into an automotive race and the guy who is driving an eighty five civic getting pissed off because homeboy showed up to face him driving a lambo.
the drunkard title was intended to be gained through manual clicking. you are bypassing this through a bot, which would be considered cheating. to better word your illustrated example (although it fails anyways because drunkard bots are used for pve purposes and race driving would be considered pvp), it would be like a driver with his class c car is pissed off because another driver entered the class c race with a class a car.

anyways, the point is that this game, much like any other, has rules; break them, and expect to be punished.

You're basically saying that honest players not using an autoclicker are idiots.

Wonder why there was no built in drunkard bot. Better yet, we should all be getting the Drunkard title by just clicking once.

Sure.

Disagree. Drunkard is more about the time AND the money. That's why it's more prestigious then sweet tooth, and more prestigious then party points (even though party points were initially rarer and more expensive).

@s73ve_o: having worked on the drunkard title legitimately, you do not just drink ale while afking/watching tv. You drink ale all the time. When I'm playing PvE, I'm drinking. When I'm raptor farming (a farm that conveniently takes about 3 miniutes), drinking. When I'm selling stuff in chat, drinking. When I'm playing RA (not even kidding), drinking. Pretty easy to do when you turn off post processing effects.

says you? what do you think separates drunkard from the sweets title that causes people to think that drunkard is much more "prestigious" (lol).

reading this hurts my eyes....

in any case, LOL @ Dead game, that was already covered though, LOL @ not trusting "you" (FYI it's not spelled "u")

and to save more LOLing, I'll just say LOL @ your post.

oh and in that last line, you say it made your task more difficult which basically means you admit to using a bot (or plan on using one but this has put you off it). That makes me lol a bit more tbh.

The /report command goes to Customer Support. We provided other options, like the email ([email protected]) or the web interface, to make it easier for players to report issues.

im not an idiot im not going to do something that gets me banned. and im not a troll (One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument). i have a point i am trying to make and thats the bottom line. i bought the game and i should be able to play how i want so long as it doesnt impact anyone else. Why would you be mad about other people doing autoclickers for ale hound other than jealosy that you waisted your time on bullshit that shouldnt be in the game in the first place when "my friend" skilled right by it.

Excellent Regina, excellent! Best thing that happened to Guild Wars in recent memory.

Is there a list of all the banned accounts somewhere? I want to know if any my friends got banned (i.e. no point keeping them on friend's list anymore).

EDIT: Some people have said it's better to temporary ban with a warning of permanent ban if it goes on. I'm a firm believer of second chances, so yes I do think this is a better thing to do. However, I'll also say that harsh action is still better than no action at all. I can't say how excited this round of bannings got me, I'm just a bit sad I wasn't online when Dhuum reared his head over GW

The only thing I can think of with this thread...

Glad to see this. Hope to see FAR more of it. Especially in JQ/FA.

Thank you. My PvP consists of JQ and botters make it a misery to play. So, just Thank You.

Do you dispute that the drunkbot program is a bot? That's why it was banned, because it was a bot. People could create a bot that lets them open and close their storage all day long and it would also be against the rules because it is a bot.

It doesn't matter how much it actually "harms" anyone in the game, bots are against the EULA, use them and you have no defense if you get banned.

---------------------

Regarding the G15 keyboards...soon after they did the contest, they said that as long as they weren't used to automate game play, they were fine.

Assigning /resign to a key, or ; spacebar, that was fine, programming it to do the raptor run, not so much.

I think someone earlier was talking about hitting one key to activate hero skill 6...that's fine (heck, the game itself lets you do that) but hitting one key to activate skill 6 on all heroes, you're probably getting pretty close to asking for trouble in my opinion.

Our bickering is useless either way, truth is either of us can just as easily be wrong, it's time for anet to quit dicking it up and just answer the simple question, drunkbot, bannable or not, answer that question and the shenanigans over it will end.
